Chinese Tourist Visa
( L Type )

This is what you should apply for if you are going on holiday to China. For UK passsport holders, we can usually obtain a 2 year multiple entry visa but this is subject to the discretion of the embassy. Examples of applicants: holidaymakers, school groups (please do call us early if you are travelling in a school group).

Chinese Business Visa
( M Type )

Get this visa if you are going to do business in China, e.g. visiting a trading partner or supplier, or a trade fair etc. For UK passsport holders, we can usually obtain a 2 year multiple entry visa but this is subject to the discretion of the embassy.

Chinese Academic Visa
( F Type )

This visa is for when you are invited to China by an a non commercial entity or authority for non trading purposes.

China Work Visa
( Z Type )

If you have a job to go to in China, this is the visa you should apply for. Other people who have applied for this visa for work purposes include pop groups and musicians (for concerts) and other celebrities (for filming purposes, for example).

China Study Visa
( X type )

Get this visa if you are going to study in China. X1 visas are for longer stays and need to be converted into residence permits. X2 visas are for shorter stays.

Family Visit Visa
( Q and S Type )

Apply for a Q visa if you are going to visit Chinese family in China. Apply for an S visa if you are visiting relatives who are not Chinese nationals but working or studying in China.

 

Cabin Crew Visa
( C Type )

This visa is issued to foreign crew members of aircraft, trains and ships, and motor vehicle drivers engaged in cross-border transport activities.

 

Journalist Visa
( J type )

The J1 visa is for journalists who are based in China.

The J2 visa is for visiting journalists who are, for example, entering China to cover a story.

 

Other Visas
( R and G type )

There are also Transit Visas (G Type) and Highly Skilled Individual Visas as designated by the Chinese Government (R Type). These are less common visa types but we can still assist if you need help obtaining one. Please call us if you want our help with these visas.
