1.
Why should I trust you with my passport? Why do you use a PO Box?

We understand that there may be some hesitation about sending your documents to a PO Box, however, we only use a PO Box for purposes of speed and security.

First, we do not have to wait for the postman to call - we go to collect the mail as soon as the delivery office opens at 8am every morning.

Secondly, the Royal Mail staff know us, and will only hand over items from the PO Box to us. There is no risk of items being signed for by an unauthorised party.

Thirdly, we are a limited companywhich has been established since 2005 - you can check us out on the Companies House database.

Finally, our office address is no secret - see our CONTACT page for more details. You are more than welcome to hand deliver your documents or organise a courier to do so, and collect them once dealt with.

If you remain in any doubt, pick up the phone and ask the give us a call.

2.
Why does CVD recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery?

We only use Royal Mail Special Delivery because it is an insured service which is guaranteed for the next working day. We recommend that you send us your documentation by this method too. It is trackable and requires a signature. In the event of any postal strikes, Special Delivery gets priority. Don't use recorded delivery - it may be cheaper but it is effectively standard delivery with a signature and gets no priority.

3.
Can I drop off my passports at your offices?

Of course! Our offices are at 25 Margaret Street, London and we are around from about 8:45am to 6pm.

4.
How much will my visa cost?
It depends on how fast you want your visa. See our PRICING page for more details.

5.
What is included in the price?

The price you see is the price you pay! Our prices include:

  • Embassy processing fees
  • Our fees
  • Return of your passport by Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm

We can also arrange delivery of your passport by courier. If you wish to have your visas delivered to you by courier, CONTACT US beforehand for a quote.

Our specialism is getting you your visa, fast! Call us if you are in a panic and need your visa back ASAP.

Having said that, Chinese Visas are valid for entry into the country three months from when they are granted. That means, you have TWO months from the date of issue in which to enter China. We would therefore recommend you apply after the TWO month mark has passed. Although we can get you your visa back on the day after we submit it, don't leave it too late!

How long can I get a Chinese Visa for? Correct as at 17 November 2014)

This is dependent upon your travel itinerary and the Chinese Embassy's own assessment. However, there are several rules of thumb upon which you can usually rely.

FOR SINGLE ENTRY TOURIST VISAS

The default length of visa is 30 days, although we can usually get you 90 days if you need it.

FOR DOUBLE ENTRY TOURIST VISAS

The default length of visa is 30 days per entry, although we can usually get you 90 days per entry if you need it.

FOR BUSINESS VISAS

Whether single, double or multi, you will be able to stay in China for upto 30 days for each trip (or 60 if you specifically request it).

Please contact us if in doubt.

Do I need an appointment of any kind?

No appointment needed. You just need to post your documents to us and we will submit on the day we receive your application as long as we receive your documents by 9am, or you can drop off your documentation.

If you did not go through us, you would need to book an appointment which would, obviously, compromise your speed and be extra bother for you. Do it the easy way! Use CVD!
